A lesser known Polyrhachis, this species is somewhat common in northern New South Wales and Queensland.
Little is known about their nesting behaviour although most colonies are found in the ground under rocks or branches.
Like most Polyrhachis ants, this species lacks a sting and is considered very gentle.
