Banded Sugar Ant / Camponotus consobrinus Queen + 10-20 workers

Availability: Sold Out

One of the most commonly encountered Camponotus ants in Australia, along with it's close relative C.nigriceps.

These large nocturnal ants have been dubbed "sugar ants" for their love of sugary foods.

Although not generally considered dangerous, these large ants are large enough to bite so care should be taken.

Possessing both minor and major workers these ants are very popular with ant keepers.

Love the packaging and ants condition

The ants came to me very healthy, and the packaging was by far some of the best I have ever seen. The ants where nice and snug in a breach of styrofoam. Amazing
