Polyrhachis hookeri Queen Only

A striking ant with amazing colouration visible under bright light.

The colour will change as the ants mature from blue to green.

Found in a wide range of areas within the Australian continent, this ant forages during the day but it seldom seem due to it's shy nature. 

Will tolerate either a dry or wet nest and is typically considered a scavenger ant.

A smaller sized Polyrhachis ant at around 5mm.
